Normal temp. should be between 190-220 degrees.

yes and no... 100% water boils at 212F so if you are running a 210 or higher temp you can cook your motor if your coolant starts to age and break...

shave the heads if they are warped. straight line them and check all clearances to specs. if you have aluminum heads take them to a head shop and let them check properly. if they aren't warped...

forgive my ignorance, but not sure what liquid glass is, and will guess it is some sort of "special water additive" ... sure drain all fluids and add a water flush hose units to the heater lines and...

no if you take the heads off to check the gaskets you can't return them. you will need to use them to put it back together.

4x4 right? can you have the transfer case in N, or no gear oil in...

i took a re-look at the pics.... those pics 4-9 are just dirty valve covers and leaking between the cover and top of head.... not a pic of blown heads. just oil leaks. did you try starting the...

I've read that you could put a balloon over the coolant fill on the radiator, turn the engine over, and watch it fill with air for cylinders leaking, but moot point since your radiator is smoked.

Do you think it would be safe to add water and antifreeze now, a day later, and see if when I start it up if it takes off like new?


yes it is ok, you can also add water/coolant into hot motor...
