What happened was the shop that you had put your tstat in just bought the cheapest one they could get instead of a Motorcraft or ford oem tstat. Because of this it doesn't fit in the gooseneck right...

I do have the m5od-r1 and yea with some research I found that these trannys were built with an integral bellhousing for added strength. Thanks for the reply.

No, I inspected the axle from the outside. Sometimes there's an axle tag on the outside of the axle describing what the ratio is but mine does not. I haven't opened the diff yet.

It's stamped but it's got weird numbers. Not like other axle stamps I've seen online.

As far as I know all 2nd gen 4 cylinders came...
