That shaft will travel back and forth in the tranny as the rear end bounces around. It looks ok.

I have a couple of pictures in my gallery. Cab lights are from JC Whitney. It took me about 4 hrs to install. I did a lot of measuring to get perfect spacing, but nothing was difficult.

I loaded a torque/trailer towing tune from Brenspeed, and can switch back to stock at any time. It takes about 90 sec to make the change.
It's just another option to consider.

In December I bought a "Trailer Towing / Torque Tune". Now I'm waiting for Brenspeed to e-mail me a "Performance Tune" to put some "ZIP" in my '09 4.0. I'll give a review after I load it next week.

I believe Ford uses the same gear ratio between 1st & reverse...If your engine holds compression it dosen't matter. It's not going anywhere. Even if you towed it the rear wheels would drag!
