Carpet shampooer with pet attachment. Or one of those portable handheld shampooers. Fill with oxyclean and gag at what comes out.

Re: New to Ranger in NC
2.3L Duratec is pretty bullet proof. Early models had tumble flap problems, but those were never installed on the Ranger 2.3's. Only other thing to keep an eye on is the PCV valve hose can crack...

Those eventually can corrode with badly maintained cooling systems. They really aren't needed/beneficial except in extremely cold climates, as their only purpose is to warm the throttle body with...

Re: Please see data.
Your fuel trims look odd; like they adjust at times and aren't adjusting at other times (0% trim? Really?!). I'd start with checking out your MAF and O2 sensors. Short trim bank 1 sensor is also...

Re: 2000 3.0 Slight engine shake while idle and low RPM
If compression and leakdown tests come back fine, your valve seats are likely nothing to worry about. Those mostly plagued the 2002-2004 heads, but it does occasionally happen to older/newer 3.0's....

Re: Squeaky sperpentine or fan? What is it?
If it changes speed with the engine speed, it's either the cam sync or a belt/pulley. If it comes from the rear of the engine on the passenger side, definitely cam sync.

If you look at the bottom of this thread, you will see a list of similar threads. There are lots on engine swaps; give them a good search and I'm sure you'll find all the information you need.

If it's just leaking from the through bolts, you can pull the bottom left three out, coat them with some red RTV and slide them back in. 80% of the time that can stop the leak and avoid/delay having...

Re: Under drive pulleys?
Not worth it. If anyone wants to make their 3.0 a bit faster, beefing up the engine is not the place to be doing it. Hint: It's all in the gearing.

Re: New to this, but what is this JB welded pipe on the intake?
It's just to heat up the intake air. As long as it's not leaking, no problems will come of it.

Re: first time problems
If it's one specific cylinder continuously causing the problems, it could be valve seating problems. Compression test would tell.

AAP has a lifetime warranty as well, and with their online promo codes, probably cost half as much as that NAPA one. ;)

I can R&R a water pump on these trucks in less than an hour. All you do is pull the belt and the fan; the water pump is right there with just a few bolts.

Advance auto parts has a Carquest pump with a lifetime warranty for $65. Their online promo codes generally save me $15-$20. 5 years later and it's still going strong on my truck.

It is integrated with the MAF; the outer two wires control the air charge temperature sensor (IAT).

The reason the torsion bar suspension is all that's listed is it's easy to reinforce the frame and struts. This is required for the coyote swap due to the excess torque and weight; otherwise, you...

If you're going to adjust compression ratios, you'll need a tune. The stock ECU will retard your timing and it will run like a$$, even with premium fuel, as the stock programming is meant for 87...

2. Underdrive pulleys are expensive and hard to find now. I wouldn't bother with them.
3. The throttle cable mod...
