If an engine is not getting enough fuel, then it will run lean causing an engine to run hot. I worked through the cooling system before the fuel system work started.

Thanks, it's there to give some structure to the lid and was wasted space. But it got tired of hunting for my knife and lug wrench. It also makes a good spot to keep spare saw blades.
