The first time i did it a year ago i tried just the tfi module. Didn't fix the problem. Changed the distributor and it fixed it. this year i wasn't playing i just changed both.

I have a twenty mile drive to work each morning, and the truck ran fine every morning. But on the way home being hotter in the day the truck would start to run like crap at about 15 miles then at 17...
