engine misses after refueling and when accelerating from a start and at higher rpms

I have a 2003 edge model 2wd with a 3.0l flex fuel engine. Every time I put gas in the tank for about 30 seconds it misses almost to the point of stalling. I'm thinking this is due to a clogged tank...
