thanks a ton for the info. i talked to a guy at autozone and he said i can bring the old one in and they will test it to make sure thats the problem. but i'm assuming it is. i wish i would've known...

88 ranger ignition module...
I got a 88 ford ranger 4x4. its got the 2.9l v6 and a 5 speed trans..
ive had a few problems with this thing wanting to stay running. i can be driving down the road and it'll shut off...
