The Generals are holding up well. They are running LT265/70r16 load range E. But at Tahoe air pressures. The ground down here is sort of sandy and plenty of mesquite and cactus thorns.

Run the air pressure that your door stickers says. If you run larger tires then you will need to run even a lower pressure. Remember... It's pounds per square inch. A larger tire holds more volume.

6" rims are not wide enough to get a good footprint with wide tires. Tires will bow out in the middle and you will get irregular wear.
