The fuse box under the hood is...

Re: fresh air drain

Thanks for the write-up. I checked the openings and the area under the cowl is clean. However, I get water in the passenger's side dripping on the fuse box and then my battery drains and then its...

Re: Can the Security System be reset?

I was talking to an engineering friend and he said that yes, water would act as a conductor and complete the circuit in the fuse box, thus causing the battery to be drained.

So, dry out the fuse...

Re: Can the Security System be reset?

Well, it turned out the battery was drained. So, I bought a new one.

Everything was working fine for over a month until this weekend's rains. The passenger side fuse box behind the kick panel...

Re: Can the Security System be reset?

Ok, thanks. Paying for the scan will be cheaper (hopefully) than buying the tool.

Re: Can the Security System be reset?

Thanks guys.

Is the "Ford scan tool" something that only Ford dealers have or would an independent shop have it as well?

Never encountered this before, but never had water in a vehicle like...

Re: New Ranger owner, old guy

Thanks to all the well-wishers.

I tried running water into the cowl, but that seems to drain ok. The water appears to be entering on the sides when I just spray the windshield and let it run-off....

Re: Can the Security System be reset?

I dried out the passenger side fuse box, then covered the truck with a tarp since I was going out of town for a week. I just returned, everything is dry, reconnected the battery, truck will not...

Walked out this morning, pressed key fob to unlock door - nothing. Unlocked with key, put key in ignition - nothing. Noticed red light with lock.

I have water on floorboards under rubber mats,...
