Re: still no 4x4 working

Let’s break this down:
- A ton of new parts
- 4wd still not engaging; dash lights blinking

If the dash lights are blinking, some component isn’t getting the signal. Time to bust out the Ohm...

Re: Redneck Homemade Manual T-Case Shifter

Nice home solution to an annoying problem. I personally, don’t want to get out of the truck and crawl under it to engage 4wd, but I suppose that’s better than not having it at all. I’ve been trying...

Re: New bulbs/flasher, still have blinker issue

Sometimes the bulbs are bad out of the package. I’ve had it happen a couple of times; scrambled to check all the wiring, fuses and relays to find out that it was a bad bulb. So my suggestion, switch...

Re: Fog lights not working

Did you splice the wires? If so, go back and recheck the wiring

Re: No headlights, daylights and radio (Intermitent)

I’d check the switch and replace the fuses. I’ve never seen this issue, so I’m at a loss. I guess check the wiring as well.

Re: HELP 1999 4.0 died wont start

Being that the truck died, and started up again, then died yet again, I’d say check your alternator

Re: Project Ruby

I superimposed an orange light under the headlight in this pic; it turned out a little crooked, but it’s good enough as a representation. I like the look, so I think I’ll go ahead and do the mod

Re: Project Ruby

She is; we’ll be married 10 years next May. We met each other when we both were in the Marines. She doesn’t give me crap about things I want to do, like going all over the place to find truck parts....

Re: Project Ruby

I’m going to cut off the side marker from the old lights and mount the orange portion back on the truck. The piece of plastic that holds the turn signal fits on the new header panel, so it’s just a...

Project Ruby

Aside from upkeep, I’ve been planning for a solid axle swap and manual transfer case

*edit* I’ve got to take care of the rusting rear cab before it gets worse

Re: Undrstm8ed's 93' XLT Overlanding build...

Ok, first of all, I’ve never seen a Matel truck with a high lift jack strapped to its hood

Second, I’ve gotta know about “THE game changer,” with a big emphasis on ‘the.’ What’s it all about?

Re: Coby's '99 Ranger XLT (always a work in progress!)

Good luck with the new motor. After one bunk motor, I wouldn’t have trusted the company; I would’ve got my money back and bought from another company

Re: F150 is really big

The new Ranger looks like a crap version of the Tacoma, and all the Ford vehicles have the same front end design. The best part is they don’t even care; and why would they when people continue to buy...

Undrstm8ed's 93' XLT Overlanding build...

Nah, that color’s nice. I wanted a blue Ranger, and of course I didn’t see any for sale until after I bought mine, which is toreador red. IMO, it’s the front end.

If you want a more aggressive...

Re: 2000 2WD 3.0- Beginners Build

You need to start learning to do this stuff yourself. It’s pretty easy once you do it once or twice. Especially if you ever plan on having fun with your truck. Tape measure and twine is what you...

Re: Project Ruby

There’s something weird about these trucks where they have their own plans for what you should be buying for them; they don’t care what you want. So it was the night my alternator died. I had plans...

Re: Project Ruby

So it’s been a long while since I’ve done anything to my truck. A couple weeks ago the alternator died while I was at the gas pump. So since I needed a new one, I decided to upgrade to the 130 amp. I...
