Try switching the plug wire with another cylinder...

Try switching the plug wire with another cylinder and see if the misfire moves to that cylinder. Can do it with plugs too. I've seen the porcelain develope a crack and cause a misfire.

Unless somebody put the late model kit on it. I'm surprised superlift doesnt list the late model kit just as 98 and up. Guess he'll find out when he takes it apart

I think the knuckles will have 2 sets of holes drilled through them for 2 different caliper brackets. I'm thinking later rangers had bigger brakes. Could be wrong though

If I could get my hands on one I wouldn't mind seeing if it would work, I'm certainly not going out of my way to find one or spend a lot on one. Just thought they looked very similar.

Was wondering if anyone ever installed one of these in there ranger. Looks identical to the explorer ohc, but has an extra cubby hole. Didn't know if it was a direct swap or not
