Have you physically checked the belt tension? It also may be a bearing going out on one of your accessories. Can you locate it with the engine running while your listening for it with the hood open?

Yeah I know in my part of Wyoming we pretty much way to everyone with a Wyoming plate. We also tend to stop and help people as you just might be the last person to come along for a good long while.

For 98% of vehicles the setup we have if just fine, I can see however if you have a balanced and blue printed engine with extreame modifications and thousands into tuning that it could be benificial...

I showed the the two Ford master level mechanics here at my work this thread and they all got a good laugh, while a true dyno with proper tuning and maping can open up an engine the numbers persented...
