Could be a valve cover gasket if its getting oil on the plug wires. Have you changed the spark plugs in it. I have heard of alot of people waiting til they have 100,000 miles to change the plugs...

it could be that the plug wires are to close together. Ive seen cars miss horribly just because people zip tie there wires together to make them look cleaner. so check that. it could be the coil...

Ya Newark doesn't have much nothing but contours and neons.it would probably be better to put a old school turbo'd probe motor in it there pretty much a dime a dozen.

i doubt its anything with the fuel. Which means air or ignition, i would just replace the plugs plug wires. Is there a check engine light ? for almost 200000 miles the possibilities are kinda endless.

There's a coolant temp. sensor on the back of your intake that feeds the gauge what the temp. is. Or your truck might be getting that hot which is not good
