checked out the 96 tonight, it's nice! drives well and is really clean. No rust. engine looks real clean as well.

I'm pretty impressed with this one, but I'll wait to check out the other one...

Hey guys, so my truck died. major knocking it's a POS.

Its an 86 2.3l 5spd

is it worth it to buy a used 2.3L engine and pay a shop to put it in? I just don't have the time or knowhow to do it...

if I do AAL in the back of my 2wd ranger should I get 4x4 shocks ? or still 2wd shocks? the AAL will raise it an inch or two right? so that puts me in 4x4 territory?

how many plugs do I need? I read somewhere that some rangers have 8 plugs in the 2.3? does that mean I need two sets of wires as well?

I'm a real dummy.

I had two fuses blown, tested it and it works now I just have to securely mount the ground wire and pop in the deck.

It seems to me that you are going to drive it anyway despite everyones recommendations not to...Probably because you HAVE to... So just order the part as fast as you can and don't drive the truck...
