Sorry for the late response! The ICM is to the right of the engine, and it is a grey rectangular piece with a wiring harness coming out of the top and bottom. It just sits there bolted to the...

Re: Best Tires for:94 RWD Ford Ranger
I would definitely go with 15" rims...As long as the profile is correct your speedometer will also be correct. MUCH better handling with 15's...Search craigslist for rims...I found 4-15" rims with...

Re: 99 2.5L auto won't turn over
Do they still have fusible links in these? If your starter is new and turns but the engine isn't getting fuel then your fuel pump might be bad or the fuse and relay for it. Perhaps your starter...

Re: Knocking in bell housing
I agree it is probably damage to the input shaft bearing. You can try something like Royal Purple synthetic ATF to reduce wear on it. The front bearings have drip holes that lubricate them, and so...

I see there are several threads about this, but here's mine. I got a code 224 error and an intermittent CEL that eventually became a constant CEL (check engine light) that came on a few seconds...

Re: 2.5L Idling Rough and Stalling
Maybe you have a bad spot on the TPD where it idles? I would double check the plug wires to make sure you have them snapped on and didn't accidentally separate the wire from the boot.

Re: 99 2.5L auto won't turn over
I would check the positive battery cable. There is usually two pieces to it, and if one of them is not connected it won't start. I would also check the starter relay mounted on the sidewall near...

I believe on the Rangers the TOB spins even when the clutch pedal is not pushed in...It kinda rides on the fingers of the pressure plate. It's a sealed bearing with I believe two sides and the...

Re: Front end Squeeking driviimg me nuts
Power steering pump going bad? I don't know what else would make noise when standing still. Raising the truck off the ground relieves pressure on the pump and pitman arm.

Re: 2.3 Tune up tips
When you remove the plug wires make sure you grab them by the boot or you will most definitely separate the wire from the boot. If you can get wires with hard plastic boots go with them.

Re: bed help
A bed weighs about 250 lbs so be careful. Don't forget that if you take it off you have to disconnect the wiring harness for the lights AND the fuel filler neck bolts.

Re: damn ranger, sputtering.
I would recommend removing your ignition coils (you can leave the plug wires in) and scraping the rust off the bottoms of them with a razor blade or steel wool. Check your grounds on the firewall...

I would check the plug wires. You might have a couple that are bad and allowing unburned gas into the exhaust.

Re: engine stays at high revs when shifting for 2 secs before returning to idle
Honestly I suspect your pilot bearing is seizing on your transmission input shaft. You could also need to bleed your slave cylinder a bit...Your clutch can still be engaging slightly even if it lets...
