Re: Stiffening up suspension
I think I'll go ahead and wait on the Cobra brake swap, for a while anyway.

With the 4/5, will I be able to run a 245/45/17 tire?
I'm on 17x8 bullit wheels with 1" adapters.

I have a 2003 XLT, short bed, 2.3, 5 speed, coil spring suspension.
Now, there are several...

Re: Stiffening up suspension
Fx4Wannabe, I've been reading through multiple of your brothers threads. Awesome stuff. His truck is exactly how I'd like for mine to turn out.
I see in most of the pictures that the bed is off....

Re: Stiffening up suspension
Gotcha.. I too have wondered that before. At times it really does look like the front is lowered. Others, not so much. I believe my wheel/tire combination fills up the wheel-well just a tad more than...

Also, I did a little research and it looks like the guy who was making the hub for the cobra brake conversion has quit production. Not sure if you're aware of anyone else who makes them, or another...

Re: Stiffening up suspension
Thanks again. I'm sure I'll have more questions the further I get I to it.
Attaching a picture of how the truck sits now, can't wait to have it lower.
Edit: A question comes to mind. The nitro...

Re: Performance handling mods?
How much did you cut your 4.0 springs? Also, did you buy them used, or where could I find them?
Would cutting the springs be as good as buying a lowering spring? Such as what is in this kit?...

Also, do you know if there's any certain way to remove the top end...
