i put a new fuel filter, fuel pump changed cap and rotor, pulled plugs cleaned/regapped check spark on all clydr, cut the converter off and weld a pipe in place. still nothing

2.8 v6
I have a 83 ranger with a 2.8 v6. it has been running great then all of the sudden I lost power. in nutrel it runs, idles and all around sounds good, but when i try to drive down the road i can not...

I have an 83 ranger, a buddy of mine has an 89 that just died on him. are there any parts that are interchangeable between the two trucks?

1983-89
would a 5spd trans out of an 89 4cyl ranger mount up to my 83 v6 ranger? the 89 is an ext cab mine is std cab if that makes any diff.
