Remove your steering column cover off and disconnect the black/pink wire by the ignition cylinder, that will cut the ground for the key on chime function(when the key is inserted it actually grounds...

Look under the ash tray, there should be a white box with a connector on it.
I replace mine a few weeks ago from a 94 Explorer, (the warning chime box was black).

I'ts not my pic/truck (pic is for reference for when I will do this mod) , but from reading on the Ranger forums you might have to enlarge some of the holes on the bumper bracket.
