Engine revs to 2700 or 2800 rpms when I start it up

I have a 2004 2.3 and it revs to 2700 or 2800 rpms when I first start it up. It revs when I start it up after work and at the end of the day too. Once it is warm it does not rev up when I start it...

You might replace your thermastat like you said. If the thermastat is stuck it would stay open and never let close when the engine is cold. The good news is thermastats are easy to repalce and cheap...

The air conditioning unit should be easy to put in. It's the pipes that will be hard to replace. But, if they are already there you shouldn't have any problems.

I cut the cat out of my sister's Dodge Grand Caravan and repalced it with flew house becasue it was brocken up inside and it was cloging the muffler up. The Oxogen sensor is in the exhaust manafold...

I have had really good luck with "Mothers" brand...

I have had really good luck with "Mothers" brand "Back to Black". It is some kind of cleaner/wax. Works really well. I use it at work and at home. Highly recommend it.

Well my 2004 Ranger has the 2.3 liter 4 cylinder and it's been really good. Plenty of power for a 4 cylinder, lots of get up and go. Gets really goood gas mileage, like 25mpg doing hills and town...

You are rightit's the heater core and you can bypass the heater core with the two hoses. My buddy's car's heater core has been bypassed for a couple of years at least. No problems wit hit whatsoever....

Get a Ranger. They get good gas mileage, mine gets 25mpg at least doing town and hills every day. I got 29mpg on the way to Florence to ride at the dunes with my dirtbike in back.

My 2004 Ranger standard cab has three seat belts. The middle belt gets stuck under the seat sometimes. When I first got my pickup it took about 15 minutes to dig out from under the seat.

I suggest the 2.3 for what you are doing. The gas mileage will be pretty good with the 2.3. Somewhere between 25mpg and 30mpg. I have no idea what the guy saying the 2.3 means. My Ranger does 95mph...
