Thx a lot for the info. I'm sure this will all make sense when i open the engine up again. On a side note, i bent the tensioner bolt while trying to reinstall the dam spring.

Correct. Not that hard. Simply note the positions of everything as u remove them. Also your gas mileage will improve as a result of cleaning them.

Unfortunately, 300plus thousand miles of carbon deposits will not be removed by seafoam. At this point, ur best option is to remove ur manifolds and deep clean them. Grab 2-3 cans of berryman carb...
