Thanks for the input.
I did request the garage to change the fuse and relays for the fuel pump, as that should be a rather "cheap" thing to do. Might as well try.
Where are the grounds for these...

Ill browse your thread.
But my truck didn't have any codes stored in it.
Which is why I now think it is an electrical issue probably cause by whoever did the bodylift on my truck...

I replaced the alternator in it a few weeks ago.
Possible it is an electrical issue... which would be a nightmare to try to figure out.
... seems electrical gremlins are next to impossible to...

Garage called me today and they said the truck is fine :confused:
They cant replicate the problem at all.
No rough idle and no stalling.
They checked fuel pressure, which was good at...

I have read many reports of dye gunking up the coolant systems...
I will obviously follow the directions on how to use, but after I use it, I would hope flushing the system will get all the dye...

Why?
Shouldn't the fluid be flushed if replacing the solenoid?
(Obviously if there is metal in it, that's a different story)
So they should just replace whatever fluid is lost during the change...

UPDATE.
OK, so I just heard back from Ford...
Apparently it is the trans solenoid... and there is actually a TSB from Ford regarding this exact issue.
Repair they say is $750.00, but this...

But doesn't mean the valve bodies of the newer trans still aren't complete crap.
Who knows what they "upgraded" with the newer trans for this older tsb to not apply... I'm sure the newer 5r55e trans...

I have a 2004 truck, and while they use the 5r55e, this above TSB is for vehicles before 2001 or looks like...

Yea the more research I do... Seems the valve body crapping out is a pretty common problem. Know if Ford ever issued any TSBs on these transmissions?
Would investing in an auxiliary transmission...

It is at local Ford dealer... They had it all day but never called me, so I guess they didn't get to it yet. Fully expect a call tomorrow.
