Re: How To: Strip Stock wheels of Clear Coat

Is it safe to assume this would work to get the paint off of painted (rather than only clear coated) wheels also?

Re: Bedsides!

You might have trouble finding OEM non-fiberglass flareside beds. I'm about 90% sure the OEM's are fiberglass.

Re: Finally got the balls to do these two mods this week!!

First of all,
I saw the grey bumpers on the before and i was thinking "why the heck do you not like grey? It's awesome." I was quickly proved wrong as I scrolled to the after pictures. Very nicely...

Re: Interior paint

Or, its possible that you could find this at your local auto store. Duplicolor makes many color matched spray cans.

As per painting: With hard plastic I always use adhesion promoter rather...

Re: is this supposed to be like this?

I would like to contest this (and continue the thread jack), but only with the purpose of learning more.

Ranger frames are not untreated from the factory. I believe they ussualy have black...

Re: HID Suggestions

Some might argue that you are more likely to blind someone with a 3000k/4300k (generally thought of as the "green/yellow" bulbs) than you are a 12000k.

Re: edge smoked taillights?

Ok, so these aren't your generation tails, and not exactly "smoked" or "tinted". They're more like "BLACK". But, I hope this can help.

Re: Bumper Paint Frustrations....

How often do you wash the truck? How often do you wax it?

If that's not it, then it is paint prep. Prep is far more important than the spraying of the paint. Anyone can spray paint, thats easy. ...

Re: Is "High Mileage Oil" Worth It?

If it were a gimmic, they wouldn't start reccomending it at 75K miles. It's what I've always done. I think its the way to go.

Re: good aftermarket speaker brands?

Last time I remember being at the audio store, the 5x7's and 6x8's were exactly the same size. Can someone verify if I am remembering this right?

Re: good aftermarket speaker brands?

This (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-BpqwH3EQ5IF/learn/learningcenter/car/speakers.html) is a good read to learn about speakers. You know how I found it? Google.

Re: Shocks Under 30 dlls?

Shocks are not ment to give a resistance force the same way a spring is. It should not take very much force to move a spring slowly, but it should take more force to move it quickly.

Re: Can anyone give me more info on 6x9's?

THIS IS SO WRONG. STOP USING MAX POWER.

Now, I owned a '97 so the newer head unit's might be a bit more power, but mine read off as 8 watts rms per channel. Most aftermarkets give off somewhere...

Re: New Shocks Need new Coil Springs?

If you need any other proof. IF these were pistons/ pneumatic cylinders rather than shocks, the max force you could get from a 1-3/8" bore piston @200 psi is ~ 300 pounds (296.828lbs) each.

I...

Re: Daily Driver??

Expo leather seats (kansas city)

Browsing CL for a new car and saw them. I'm not sure what they ussualy sell for, but 100 bucks sounds like a steal for bolt in leather seats.
