Jack and tools still in place, going to cut some vacuum hose down the middle and feed it around the case to seal the enclosure, and make better wiring connections. Let me know what you guys think...

Yeah, those are both in bad shape. No grease in there will make them fail and either sqeel when turning or make a poping sound when going over bumps.

Take the upper ball joint loose, along with tie rod and remove the axle. then you will be able to access the hub bolts. I believe they are a 15mm

I think that you could run the cams and not worry about the lower end unless you have high mileage. You might want to reconsider on a valvetrain upgrade to go with the cams, and just get it tuned...

Looks like the side cover. The front lower cover joins with that piece. I believe it wraps around the corner closest to the jack/tools cover.

It could be clogging slowly but you would be losing power, if not, just drive it until you can get it fixed. Listen for back fires also, that could be an indication it is clogging up.

Yeah, it sounds like you have a bad hub, to confirm, you need to load up the Lower Ball Joint by jacking the front wheel up by the Lower Control Arm. Your going to need an extra set of eyes and...
