My son's 92 (4.0, 4x4, 5spd, manual hubs) has a problem with the tach and the electric switch for 4x hi and low. If the switch went bad would it still be lit? Would it affect the tach too? He's 1700...

Re: Looking for ideas
Strip the shroud off the column and pull the lock, you're gonna have to, to get it re-keyed anyway. It's locked in park 'cause of the ignition switch. It has to unlock before it will get out of park.

Re: Any machinist out there?
Don't know what it would cost to machine but I can tell you aluminum is easy to work. You can use common woodworking tools. So if you could build this out of wood, you could probably make it in...

Re: 84 2.8L V6 idle is too low to stay running
There is a "fast idle selenoid" (I think thats what it's called) that keeps your carb from dropping idle too fast. It's a complicated procedure but not too difficult, if you can find some good...

Damn, I'm finishing Red Dead before I pick up my copy, otherwise I'll never get through it. Then some bastard I know let me borrow Halo Reach and I haven't even plugged in Red Dead.

Count the teeth on your starter. I had a Bronco II that did the same thing, had a 9 tooth gear on the end of the starter. Went to my friendly parts store and got a 10 tooth, swapped it in and never...

Re: Trouble with brakes dragging? Trouble engaging clutch!
You have the self adjusters on that? Maybe some issue with those. They are designed to work when you back up and apply the brake but maybe yours is grabbing too much?
