Re: Sub Enclosure In Bed Ported Throught Rear Window?

Why do you make so many pointless posts? Do you just have to have your presence known? I know you act like some kind of god around here, but come on...it's still a forum. If you are going to post, at...

Re: Sub Enclosure In Bed Ported Throught Rear Window?

Cutting out the metal between the cab and the bed and running your box through to your cab. There should be a thread on here somewhere about it, I'd search for it. And google it.

Re: Time to upgrade

Yeah but for a sealed box the measurements aren't that complicated, just length*width*height. And if you really want to get into it (like I did) you can figure out the width of the wood too. But...

Re: Solid vs. Sliding rear window

I was thinking about doing this, but I see no real benefit. Except it is easier to break in to.

Re: Wiring a Sub and Amp

I usually just end up drilling a hole. Usually all the grommets in the firewall are there for a reason, and are being used. Drilling isn't that bad.

Re: Time to upgrade

For a cheap sub, I got an 8" Kicker Comp when they were 50% off from Bestbuy, it was 40 bucks, then went and got a sheet of 3/4" MDF from Home Depot for 12 bucks, they cut it to my dimensions, and I...

Re: bed side patch panels

Damn. I only have like a 4" square area of rust, if that much. Idk if I want to buy the entire wheel well haha.

Re: bed side patch panels

Where did you buy the patch panels from? I've got some nasty rust over my passenger rear wheel well, it's rusted through. I was gonna have my friend cut it out and weld in some scrap metal, but he...

Re: How to properly take off 1990 supercab 4x4 2.9l side mirror

I just undid those torx screws and it came right off...I have a 92. I needed a new one because my driver's side mirror was flimsy and would fold in at around 35 mph or higher. I just went to a junk...

Re: f-150 coils

You need some bigger tires, then that truck would look really good.

Re: Anyone ever put this type of box in? How did you mount it?

That's why I love my 92, flat in the back seat area. Just throw whatever box back there you want.

My .02, that's a LOT of sub for a ranger. Maybe you are someone that likes that, maybe not. I...

Re: My tyres are rubbing me up the wrong way!

Tire*

Yeah give us some more info on your truck. I know when I turn mine all the way to the left it makes a groaning sound, I don't think it's rubbing I think it is the power steering pump...

Re: New Taillight Assembly's

There is no point. They are retarded. Which is why I replaced them.

Re: New Taillight Assembly's

Yeah at night you can see it turns it purple-ish. My dad said its something people used to do in the 90's. They were drilled in though so I couldn't just take them out lol.

New Taillight Assembly's

My grandpa put these jewels back on in the early 90's when he first got the truck...I didn't mind them at first but after a few years they got old. So a trip to the local jy got me a new pair for 25...

It would be cheaper to buy everything separate and build yourself a box...damn that's expensive.

Re: Weird problem....

What do you mean? I am having the same problem. I tried re-routing my power cord away from the rca's, it didn't help. So it leads me to believe I have a bad ground or a ground loop.

Re: Show Your System

Yeah with the two subs and the box, definitely worth over 50. And if you get an amp too then it would be a plus. They aren't the latest model of the comps, but check them to make sure they aren't...

Re: Would this be a good system?

Just so you know the sub is 150rms and the amp bridged is only 120rms. You want to try and get an amp and a sub that match rms watts.

Re: Lund Visor

Wow, I'm surprised there is nobody that has said no so far. I hate them, everybody I know hates them, I think they ruin the look of a truck.

BUT, it's your truck, and if you think it looks good,...

Re: Thinking about running this setup.

For the longest time Walmart sold the headunit that I have, Pioneer Deh-3200ub. Albeit I got mine from Cartoys, but I got the base model. I have had it for about a year and a half, and I love it. I...

Re: Any ideas?

I went through the crutchfield diagram and did it all, and when I disconnected the rca's from the deck, it stopped making the buzzing noise. It stopped making it when I plugged a spare set of rca's...

Re: what do you guys think of this sound package

Yeah the first set would probably go out on you in a year or less. But kickers are a good brand, I had two kicker comp's powered with a pretty cheap amp and they sounded good. With a kicker amp I...
