Re: ZHILLZ build - 02 with d44 and 9"

This may or may not be a factor for your build depending on the condition of the axles you pick up.
Pinion seals, all new brakes, and gear oil. Actually cheaper than I thought and definitely...

Re: questions on brakes

That is good to know and opens up more possibilities. I really liked the idea of the part store extended lines though. Will f2/350 lines work?

does a 02 ranger have the same brakes as older trucks?

I found a great write up on making extended brake lines but like most write ups, they lack years or cross references. Most of these articles are for the older rangers....

Re: Choosing leafs. Explorer?

From the looks of your pictures, "clear" is used loosely. You trimmed your fenders correct? I don't like the stuffed look or functionality. So back to my original question....

Re: How much should I pay for an axle?

Around here (Tampa, FL) superduty axles go for around 700-850 for the SET. Less if its the d50. If you want the newer coil spring axles, people chop the frame and sell the front clip for around 1k...

Re: Choosing leafs. Explorer?

Thanks for the help bud.

Just wanting to here a couple more verification that the 90s model Explorers leafs fit in the 98+ Rangers. Most sites list up to 97.

Re: Choosing leafs. Explorer?

I never mentioned making my own leaf pack and I also stated I wanted to lose the blocks.

I'll simplify the question:
I need 6-8" of lift in the rear and would like to do it without blocks. Will...

Re: Choosing leafs. Explorer?

I need at least 6" lift over stock (which has the OEM block).

I was asking about the Explorer because ideally, I would want the 4" Explorer rears which would net about 5.5" on a Ranger + Shackles...

Choosing leafs. Explorer?

Everything I can find on swapping in Explorer springs into a Ranger have mismatched years and don't fit my application. I have an 02 4x4 supercab that is getting a 9" rear. I have to relocate the...

Re: Questions about sas swap?

I wouldn't use those springs that come with it because it will ride like dick. What are you using the truck for?

Re: Body Lift 3” – Tech Info Extravaganza

When people mention they had different experiences, you need to check their vehicle. My 2002 would be slightly different than a 98 and a 2006 with same motors or different.

Re: Body Lift 3” – Tech Info Extravaganza

The body lift is fine and everything comes with the kit to make wires longer (Only a couple of grounds if I remember correctly) except for battery cables which I would extend BEFORE you do the lift.

Re: Post pictures of your CB radios and antennas

Thanks.

My truck has a bunch of drainage holes with rubber grommets. I cut a slit through them and ran them through the bed and into the cab that way.

Without going through 20 pages, I have a question. I have an 02 4x4 with a 3" body lift and I also have a cooler (transmission?) up front of the radiator. Do you have one that will fit?
