I have the same truck.I honestly wouldnt mess with the box design.Pioneer knew what they were doing when they build that system.Dont mess with perfection.

I have factory 4.10 rear end.My AF is clean and oiled and the tune up was done recently.I changed my pulley 5 yrs ago.

I put the other 1/2 of the can in the crankcase, then drove 50 miles and then changed it. Oil came out pitch black.I buy it at Walmart for like 9 bucks
