Re: Windshield washer nozzle clogged....

The cowl is welded in place accessing the back side is a real PITA. I do believe the computer sits in a sleeve and you will not able to get what you need.

There is an access panel about in the...

Re: E-fan switch question

It means you are paranoid. Its an observation based upon your response I wouldn't expect you to be able to see it or take a little bit of lighthearted criticism.

Batteries are storage devices...

Re: Truck won't start, ticking from fuse box - How to test

Re: does replacing the wheel cylinder require a brake bleed?

It is a standard bleeder with a spring loaded valve. You press the brake it will release fluid stop pressing the...

Re: Drivers window dead

When the windows get slow it can be the contacts in the switches or the tracks need to be lubed.

My pass side window stopped about a month ago and the track just needed some silicone spray. You...

Re: Fuel Gage Doesn't go down

Mine do sink but do not go to empty, they may lose a 1/4 tank at most.

Either way its a moot point as who cares what a gauge says when off. They are not suppose to work.

Re: E-fan switch question

Do you wear tin hats too?

On the hottest of days the fan will cycle 4 or 5 times for 2 or 3 minutes in a half hour after the truck is shut off. Also it will not ruin the battery, if anything...

Re: Retrofit AC

Always heard it called 280 air.

The cost of retrofit is really up to you if you can afford it. I would not buy any used parts if you want the system to function on the first try. You will need...

Re: E-fan switch question

I have my truck wired so that the fan will come on when ever the radiator is hot. The coolant still circulates throughout the engine even off. Its personal preference.

Otherwise if you have an...

Re: 8 130watt lights can I? electric guru's?

Probably?

The stock wiring wont handle anything over the stock alternator. You upgrade one you upgrade both. Just asking for trouble not doing it.

I did the big 3 and I dont even have a...

Re: Why is the manual transmission tow rating lower than the automatic?

The clutch is the biggest issue.

As long as you dont drag the clutch when you shift and dont slip it a lot you should be ok.

Re: 8 130watt lights can I? electric guru's?

The 80's KC knockoffs dont look near as cool as the HIDs. I'm guessing your doing this for looks anyway based on the pic of your truck in the mall.

Keep in mind 200 amp alts are custom units if...

Re: GPS Speedometer?

Gauge blank no one makes them.

Most guys will either fab a blank or take a hole saw and cut holes into the stock cluster and slide new gauges into it.

I would get your original trans rebuilt...

Re: New owner of a new to me ranger

Why is everyone forgets o2's in a tune up. They are made of the same metals as the plugs, and if the plugs are bad the o2's are too.

Re: Car Alarm Help

The theft light is the ford factory theft deterrent. It uses chipped keys that are unique to your truck and disables the truck from driving.

I would look for the aftermarket alarm first. It...

Haynes Manual lol

If the calibration code is the same on the sticker you should have no issues with the swap. If you have PATS than the dealer will need to marry the new computer and PATS...
