Re: Hows your GAS MILEAGE on ur truck? Let me know here.
I have a 2011 Ranger XLT 4x4 with a 4.0 V6 Auto. I'm kind of a data-recording nut - I guess from my life as a pilot and an engineer - and I keep a logbook of EVERY fillup (and I ALWAYS do a fill...

Been running a K&N in my 2004 Mustang since it was new and never had a problem. As stated above, don't over-oil it and you'll be good to go.

Re: Good Drying Towel
I've always used a regular old chamois.
The secret is to not wad it up and rub it over the surface. Instead spread it out over the surface as if you're throwing a blanket on a bed, then grab the...

My son bought some glass cleaner (over the 'net) for his Jeep Wrangler called Glassworx. It's a concentrate that you mix 1:4 with water.
Best glass cleaner I've ever used! And it smells like...

There Must Still Be New 2011 Rangers Out There Somewhere!
My son-in-law is a warehouse manager for a regional auto parts chain. Last weekend he mentioned that a brand-new delivery truck that he just got was stripped right in their lot the previous weekend....

Re: Does everybody hate chrome?
Pretty much the only chrome on my 2011 Colorado Red XLT is the grill and the Ranger badges. I think it looks good. On a dark color - black - I like the sport style grill that is just a body color...

Re: what parts will be hardest to get since ford quit
I believe the manufacturer is REQUIRED BY LAW to maintain a parts inventory for a certain number of years.
But heck, I'm 60 years old so I don't think I'll have to worry in my lifetime.
But...

Also, don't buy red Herculiner. The sun will fade it, and you'll have pink Herculiner.
People may question your manhood.

Re: MT Reports Ford Ranger Owners Are Going Elsewhere
I'm almost 60, so I figure my brand-new leftover 2011 Ranger will last me until I switch to one of those folding chairs with a wheel on each side, powered by a two-cylinder Armstrong motor.
As a...

And keep in mind that, over the years, bumpers have been "re-purposed". In the old days the bumper was more about protecting the vehicle. ...

No, no! That's not it. This noise happens AFTER the engine starts and the key is released, then a second or so later the "grinding" occurs. I think it might e something to do with the AC system,...

Sometimes "Grinding" Noise On Startup
I have a 2011 Ranger XLT 4x4, 4.0 Auto. I've only had it since mid-June, and I bought it new.
Once in a while - I think it's done it 3 or 4 times - immediately after I start the engine, I hear a...

Re: How To Get A Little More MPG out of my truck?
On my Ranger, a 2011 4.0 4x4 Auto, I get a consistent 16.4 to 16.5. That's a mix of mostly rural and suburban driving with a little bit of freeway thrown in. Only mod on the truck so far is a tonneau...
