it was actually not much. just a few trips to the junkyard and 5 bucks here and there.

i first got a intake from a 5.0 explorer. its bigger and air flows better helped even with acceleration.

try going from a stock intake to a cold air k&n and listen how deep it sounds and how faster the car picks up speed

my f150 after a k&n intake filter swap ran more efficient and more responsive

heres the way i see it...

bigger tb- less restrictive, smaller is like a person trying to breathe thru a straw to me.

plus it gives the car a deeper tone in exhaust

as long as it is a 3.0l ford v6 vulcan it should work.
escapes, rangers, taurus, sable, and aerostar have the same motor. there should be few of those at junkyards even if they dont have rangers go...

why i wanna do it? because plastic ones from a 01 or newer ranger are less restrictive and keep heat out better.
also have removable throttle bodies...

if you cant hear the fuel pump wen ign is on then check the fuel relay on the fuse box. very common on rangers i just had mine fixed and it was the relay.

but i mean i never met anyone who doesnt like a ranger with super 44s and no cats lol

they sound at idle like a v8 and revved up like a superbeast :)

bodylift no. tires yes if gears arent right but if you get tires that are slightly bigger like 2-3 inches taller than it would actually do better mpg on stock gear if its not stepped on. but any...

whoa there hold on.... my did same thing and i went thru hell. replace ur fuel pump relay first or just swap em to check it is on the fuse box on drivers side by the firewall if you swap one to...

clean IAC valve if problem continues unplug Mass Air Flow sensor then try starting it, if it starts with Mass Air disconected then thats the problem but if it doesnt do it check fuel pressure then...
