It's not uncommon to have some slight lifter tick for a short period of time after swapping a head. Also if it only ran for 3 seconds it may have just been reaching full oil pressure in the head and...

when you did the rebuild did you replace valve springs, seats, guides? Also I know you said you ran tests did you test your injector?

Try cleaning your MAF sensor as well as checking for vacuum leaks and if you have it available test your injector with a multimeter or listen for ticking sounds with a stethoscope
