ECM codes not reading.

I have a 1999 ford ranger with a 2.5L and when I go to auto zone their machine won't read any codes. No ones machine will read any codes. I have checked every fuse in the truck and under the hood...

He should have been kicked out of the nfl when he kicked a player on the ground with out a helmet on. I'm a huge vol fan but that's going way to far.

New guy here

I have. 1999 ranger 2.5l 4 cyl and I can't read the codes on the ECM and my check engine light is on. I have checked every fuse at the dash and under the hood and all are good any ideas?
