Re: Diagnoses correct?
The sea foam should be worked out by now but that could explain the occasional white smoke but I highly doubt that has anything to do with the other symptoms.

Re: Diagnoses correct?
Have you checked for any bad vacuum lines? It could be the Modulator valve but I don't know a whole lot about trouble shooting automatics. Have you drained the tranny fluid and changed the filter?

Re: Need help picking out some rims!
16's with some 285/75/16 tires. Those would be 33's. they'd look great with a lift but you can still fit them if you crank up your torsion keys

First make sure the they hooked e brake components properly in the brake drum, then you may need to adjust the star wheel so you can turn the tire by hand when the rear tires are off the ground but...

Re: Best shocks for under $200
I got the ranch rs5000 series and I love them. They hold up well and they really improved the ride with my T bars maxed out. Before I was afraid I'd chip a tooth driving down a gravel road lol

Definitely check codes. That will give you a good start. Wonder if a clogged catalytic converter could cause those symptoms?

Re: drive with front hubs always locked?
If you have autolocking hubs you simply need to turn the knob back to 2wd, wait for the 4x4 light to go out and you're golden. I personally would not keep the front axle locked at all times as there...

Re: 2.3 ranger runs fine until warmed up
Check codes first. Then You may as well clean the IAC and MAF while you're at it. There are some easy to follow instructions over in the how to section of the forum

I'd probably even go as far as flushing all the fluids as well as checking everything for dryrotting.

Sounds like the battery doesn't have enough juice, jump start it. Should be good to go but it wouldn't hurt to have the battery tested after that.

If that truck was here I'd expect to pay about $8,500. I'd buy it at that without trying to low ball you. I think you'll get what you're wanting out of it in your area. glws man that's a sharp truck!
