The technical term is "front timing cover seal"
I just replaced mine sunday and it is quite easy. I also replaced some other parts on the front of the motor that made getting to the balancer...

i agree with the others. You could possibly seize the motor by rebuilding heads and firing it up if the motor is cracked or displaced. Depending on the mileage, it's probably better in your situation...

Sounds like a faulty/intermittent ignition module or crankshaft position sensor.

It is not a dinger or switch I believe. My buzzer module is underneath my ashtray-cigarette lighter assembly in front of my transmission shift stick. This connector just plugs into an empty molded...

The truck cranks, runs, and drives 100% perfect. The wipers work, but the hazards do not. It is also a manual transmission so it shifts in all gears 100%.

Sorry I should've given the year and general model. I own a 1993 ranger xlt with a single cab. It's a 4wd model with 5 speed manual transmission. That should be enough information for your research....

Neither front nor the rear turn signals work while the brake and reverse lights work. I also dont get the turn indicator light on the dash when the hazard/signals are selected.
