Yes, I have the tool to hold the harmonic balancer and cams.

Ended up taking the timing cover off. Good thing, the Jack shaft chain tensioner was broken as was the left chain tensioner.

Here's where the "iffy" part comes in.

The ford OTC-6488 tool is designed so that you can remove the rear cam sprocket, replace the guide....

Point taken, but $7000 buys a lot of $225 motors.

#1. Two tensioners, install 10 minutes, engine ready to go in, driving next week, $50

#2. Two tensioners and cassettes, install 3 hours, wait...

Yea, the tensioners are a given, guides maybe, but to do the chains would require about $200 in tools and, of course, more work and time. Was hoping to have her on the road...
