They are not slip on tips. They are welded on. I just thought it was surface rust and carbon build up. Going to take it to the shop Monday to see what he can do. I'm off tomorrow so I'm gonna see if...

Can you get the bronze wool at Wal-Mart? Should I go to Lowe's? I think I might try the lime juice with the bronze wool.

Well let me just start that I am ashamed that I let my truck get as dirty as it has... but what really gets me is my tips ......both look awful. I'm not sure how to get them even close to chrome like...
