It doesnt matter what you buy theses days. My Ranger was made in CANADA! Hyundai's, made in LA. Kia's made in GA. VW made in TN. Shall I continue? GM and dodge are still in MI but i'm betting most of...

He's right, just so happens mines for sale on ebay right now. Just look up 97 Ranger super cab at $7500. Theres only about 2 of them, not hard to find.

I did my 97. Get a hair drier and a plastic putty knife. It will come right off. Its kinda hard with 1 person because you can't hold the drier and pull always as the pin stripe will break at times...

AHhh ok. True the air has to go somewhere with all that air being pumped into the cabin with the A/C on. Funny thing is no one even cleans those screens on the vents. Mine were totally plugged up...

I'm suspecting it has tons of cracks because the serpentine belt was original also, 15 years old but with only 67K miles and was nothing but cracks.

Go to the Ford dealer. $30 bucks out the door, no appointment needed and it only takes 20 minutes. All they use is Motorcraft durablend's. I asked them.. they don't put conventional oils in anymore....

I think theres too much stuff around it to take a peek. I'm just betting with the age of the truck and from what I saw with the fan belt, it was cracked all over the place just from age, not mileage....

Wasn't the 2.3L SOHC in the Mustang also? Whatever that last year was 91 I think? Or was that the OHV? I always heard that 4cyl Mustang was junk.

Its probably not the oil pump, something is plugged up maybe and not getting oil. I hope that has had oil changes through its lifetime. Sludge will cause that.
