I managed to get all the misfires worked out of that headache. I eventually got tired of screwing with the truck and sold it for a 99 silverado z71 :). I still think there has got to be a reason why...

i spoke to soon. The cylinder 3 misfire came back again and it turns out the gas i had there was no alcohol in it. So i drove it and burned all the sh*t gas out and put quiktrip gas with 10% ethanol...

well turns out my new plugs shot shit on me.. put a new plug in for cylinder 3 and it works fine.

i never accelerate over 2500 rpm. There is no point because its doesn't go any faster unless its being floored.

mines got 206k but hell its got new heads, timing chain, plugs, wires, coil, we've cleaned and replaced the IAC, MAF, and it still gets 11 mpg.

ya never know you could have gotten a bad tensioner or something. I bought an idler pulley from O'reillys that was bad it took me a while to figure that out.

i run MC 5-20 in my truck with a penzoil filter. Next oil change im going to use Mob1 synthetic though :)
