I think you would be fine splicing off your 4 gage. Just use a quality terminal.

Nope.
I was splicing the wrong wires. After searching under the hood by the master cylinder I found the right wires. They were wire tied under the master cylinder.
(They come off the same group...

35. Install master cylinder with brake pedal pressure switch and connect wiring OR jumper the two wires together with a 2 amp fuse (what I did)

Normally I would swap the master cylinder with the correct one. But in this instance I don't see the why it is needed, except to say that it is "factory"

The tire size is 235/75 R15

I think the width is 8 inches but not totally positive. They came with the truck.
I put a tape across the rim and it was around 8.5 So I am pretty sure they are 8s.
