I just bought a 2000 ford ranger 4.0 4x4 ext cab 4 door auto power everything ac cruse box cover 93000 miles runs and drives great has some minor rust paid $2000..

I took the center cap off and pulled somthing out that was behind that and noticed that it would not lock it and would just let the cv shaft spin.. I locked it in with a punch and hammer now 4x4...

So I have been playing with the truck I got the 4x4 light of but when I turn the switch to 4 low or high it will light up but wont go in ?

I just bought a 2000 ford ranger with 90000 miles 4x4 4 door mint for $2000.. the problem is the 4x4 high light is always on and 4x4 wont work?
