I have done the Seafoam thing...twice. Checked coil pack and all other things suggested to no avail. However when late spring came around I installed a 180 degree thermostat and have not had anymore...

Well spring and warmer weather are close and the return of the dreaded pinging. Mine has been quite since the cooler weather of the fall and winter months. As temps have risen I have noticed the ping...

My '02 Ranger pings also. Did a tune up and have done the Seafoam thing,but still pings. Considering coil pack replacement but have questions. Does the new coil pack need to be from Ford parts dept....
