Re: 95 2.3L no start problem.

I'd start by checking the fuses, if all are good then The next step would be hooking a scanner to it to see if there are any codes. You also should check the fuel pressure even though u said you had...

Re: 93 ranger cranks but wont start

check your crank and cam sensor and plugs, it's possible dirt got in the plug or dirt got between the sensor mounting hole and caused to much air gap

Re: 95 2.3 8 plug acting up

sounds like a bad 02 sensor, since you have a code stored for it. The o2 sensor senses how rich or lean your engine is running and sends the info back to the ecm to determine how much fuel or air to...

Re: coolant leak

i'd hook a coolant pressure tester to it, you'll find the leak for sure when you do. I'm not sure if you can rent one from an auto parts store or not. I'd start there

Re: Engine help

i'd hook a scanner to it, if you don't have one, your local auto parts store should be able to scan it. If i were to take a guess at it, it's possible you have an issue with your mass air flow sensor...

Re: timing belt

You should just be able to line your marks back up because their is no way to mess with the timing manually, it is computer controlled

Re: HELP!!!!Transmission shifting problem!!!??

I'd double check over the top and around the back of the transmission, that's where most trans speed sensors will be, sorry i can't give you a specific point but i hope this helps

Re: 2003 2.3 fail to run

it sounds like you got water in a connector, somewhere, i'd double check the engine over. You might wanna check the main harness connector that plugs into the ecm, it's possible it might have got...

Re: 2.3 L verses 2.5L and an eight plug question

no problem, i'm currently driving the truck daily and it runs great, engine has good torque and power, very happy with it. It took about 8 to 9 months to actually get everything figured out on it.

Re: 2.3 L verses 2.5L and an eight plug question

Everything should bolt in, but you'll have to use your 2.3 engine mount brackets on the 2.5L engine. You'll also have to swap over your fuel rail so you'll have a way to return fuel to the tank. The...

Re: 2.5 oil pan ??

It should work, most parts on the 4 cylinders are interchangeable, the only difference between the 2.3 engine and 2.5 engine is the cylinder bore. I've got an 88 ford ranger that i converted to fuel...
