alright, i didnt think the plug wires would affect the engine turning over, i will deftinely check that out though... is there anyway to test the coil?? im one broke mofo right now and cant afford...

coil pack you mean ignition coil????

you can test the altenator by doing this.......
while the truck is running remove the postive battery terimal from the battery and if the truck doesnt die the altenator is fine
