[DELETED] No crank, no start - negative cable question
My original post was erroneously posted in this section (I have a 6-cylinder Vulcan), but I can't find a way to delete it despite the edit button mouse-over indicating I can, and the link to report...

No-start, fuel related?
Hi all,
1998 Ranger, 3.0L, automatic tranny. Replaced fuel pump and fuel filter 2 years ago, roughly 10K miles on pump.
Until a couple of days ago, truck started without hesitation, and with...

Re: Bump steer<?> after front end collision
Initially there was air in the system from moving the wheel during the tow operation, but I purged the system after I got the truck put back together, and aside from the bump steer, the steering has...

Re: A/C recharge after breach?
Thanks for the response. I had planned on taking it to a shop as I don't have the vacuum to evacuate and test it, but I was curious if I was likely wasting my time and money doing so. That said, am...

Bump steer<?> after front end collision
Hi all,
Several months back I ran into a tree, causing significant damage to the front end which was focused just outside the frame's bumper spar/horn on the driver's side, and the force was only...

A/C recharge after breach?
Hi all,
About 6 months ago while removing some front end damage, I accidentally cut into one of the lines which is part of my condenser. All the R134a exited with some glory, so I disconnected...

Re: Strawberry milkshake or something else?
Yeah, it was a mistake. I thought it would be water only as I had flushed the radiator out prior to installing it. As noted above my pic, I cleaned it up. I didn't mention I used a shovel to make...

Re: Strawberry milkshake or something else?
That's a relief, thanks! I'll assume your response is affirmation it's trans fluid contamination.
Any danger of my transmission overheating if I plug the trans cooler lines, keep it in Park,...

Hi all,

So there's proper closure on this thread, I installed an 89.5" belt, and it was a perfect fit.

Re: Belt (Gatorback) fitment issue after accident
I can confirm the tensioner is undamaged, and per my previous messages, it's retracting fully (at least the indicator is traveling the full range available). Everything appears to be as it was along...

Re: Belt (Gatorback) fitment issue after accident
I originally thought along the same line with both the AC and PS units, and there is zero sign of any damage aside from what happened to the pulleys. Both units and their mounts are snug to the...

The Gatorback 4060882 is the one I need with AC. The Gatorback 4060855 is for the non-AC setup.

Re: Belt (Gatorback) fitment issue after accident
Well, I put a cheater pipe on my rachet, and forced tensioner all the way to the stop and then some (tensioner pulley was "bending" slightly from the force), and a pry bar underneath the belt to pull...

Yeah, I know, another "Gatorback won't fit" thread, but I parked mine into a tree, so I thought I'd see if there might be something I should check which would explain why mine isn't fitting. I have...

Re: Parts Interchangeability 1998 3.0L vs. 2001 2.3L
