OK I get the first part of torque to 51 ft lbs. But unsure how to do the 90- 100 degree thing??????:eek:

Can any one tell me the proper head bolt torque on a 98 2.5 engine. I have tried to research this in other areas and get 51 ft lbs to 90-100 degrees????. I have ruined 2 head gaskets so far.

I am not trying to throw you of track but had same problem with my 98 2.5. Run the compression test and see what you have. I had bad valves causing low vaccum and the thing would not run or Idle...
