i agree it sounds like a neutral safety switch, it should be located on your clutch pedal up in the dash, and you would have to replace it if thats the case, there non adjustable

with the magnet stuck on the back it still sounds alright? and 5 1/4 will fit in the dash? cuz i read somewhere that they were 4'' speakers. thanks for the info Gumcrew2
