Re: GM's Colorado Vs. Ranger....

Based on my research when looking for a used truck, the Colorado and Canyon were not worth considering. I was looking at Ranger, Tacoma and (maybe) Frontier.

Re: What has Ford ever done for you?

Ford made a functional truck that meets my needs and that I could afford.
Ford made a small, extremely economical 4cyl engine available.
Ford avoided the "upgrade every model year" arms race BS....

Re: questions about buying a 2wd ranger

My situation is similar to yours. I put together a cheap, ugly, and effective sleeping/camping setup (http://www.mousetrap.net/mouse/hotelranger.html) out of a a $25 craigslist topper, some 2x6...

Re: Redneck Air Conditioning?

When I had an un-airconditioned 1971 VW beetle in the Texas heat I found a spray bottle to mist myself was very helpful.

Probably not a longterm solution for you, but a $2 spraybottle might help...

Re: Can a tachometer be added

Yes, I've really enjoyed having it: well worth the money, IMO.

I use it to monitor MPG (to improve my driving habits), to monitor engine temp...

Re: Can a tachometer be added

A couple of thoughts.

Re: 1998 Ranger has a bug.

I had a Mazda-built B2xxx truck that bucked every once once in a while, usually on the highway. Felt like the ignition was cut out completely for about 1/8th second. Replaced various bits over the...

Re: What weapons are in your Ranger?

Re: Has anyone ever changed the dash lights??

This post (http://www.fordrangerforum.com/general-ford-ranger-discussion/25912-1998-dash-lights.html#post317366) suggests the color is set by a bezel rather than the bulbs themselves. It's an...

Re: NewBie here, with CEL... :-(
