I feel you, I too and am in college, and my Ranger is eating me out of money.

But i'd fix it. The 4.0 is boss and if I had the dough I'd dump my 302 and get a 4.0 Ranger. Not for the 3mpg increase...

I've always used it, in boxes that i built to spec for the speaker, it makes those lows just a little better in a sealed box.

1 10 and 1 12? Don't recommend that at all, you'll get horrible overtones at different frequencies, unless you set them up to handle different frequencies.

It sucks when the lows flatten and go...
