Thanks for the reply.It was the computer.From the day it was replaced it never did it again.Truck is super dependable now.Solved its mileage issue it had also.

it still new to us truck.Today went over all the wheels checking bearings front end parts.Has a vibration in 3-4 gear.Checked the universal joints.thinkin vibration the carrier bearing rubber hard...

I would bet it the cap shot or a pinhole leak in a hose it easier to suck air than a liquid.

My van does the same thing.The cap as mentioned earlier part of it.When it runs it pushes coolant in to reservoir till it runs out overflow and then when it cools it draws it back in leaving...

I would check the cat converter after you drive it.When they clogging up they even glow red.Just see if it getting to hot.A sign it is clogging up inside. Definitely cause a smell and it to run...

took out grill painted behind it black.Was white so it looked like it was wrecked and repainted which it was.Looks alot better now.Got the horn working again.had a vibration in 3-4 gear thinking it...

thanks for the list but while you were posting I was working on it.It was the knocksensor circuit in the brain.Once it was cleaned out it started giving codes.Got another EEC and put it in problem...

Well now that EEC is cleaned out it throwing codes like crazy.Is there a code list on forum.When it was full of mud it did not throw any codes.

Well I pulled the EEC out opened it up.Full of creek mud.Previous owner did a little to much 4 wheeling I see.So clean up the mud and corrosion with circuit cleaner put it back together see if that...
